Position: Head of Kent Training & Apprentices

Mark is currently responsible for the effective leadership and performance of Community Learning and Skills and its development as a Local Authority Trading Company to deliver a Community, Learning and Skills provision across Kent and beyond. His responsibilities and accountabilities require him to design, develop and implement the overall strategic vision and direction for the organisation and deliver strategic goals and targets as determined by the Kent County Council (KCC) Shareholder Committee and specified through KCC’s service specification for Adult Skills, Community Learning, Wider Family Learning, Study programme, Traineeships and Apprenticeships.

As Acting Head of Service he has full accountability for the outcomes achieved, the quality of the provision, budget and other resources, statutory compliance, setting strategy, managing local and national relationships, setting up and managing business operations and driving the business forward on a commercial footing.
